Baby Kimono - Quimono de Bebé

It was the last work of 2013, already using the yarn I got for Christmas (yes, this Anarchist "celebrates" Christmas as in "let-me-get-a-present-for-you-and-you'll-get-a-present-for-me-and-let's-eat-something-together).
It's actually my second take on the pattern (which is the easiest thing in the world, I assure you), because Little A. has already outgrown the first one I made. It's a Lion Brand pattern and you can find it here.
I used Drops Garnstudio's Andes yarn (since it calls for Super Bulky yarn), which I purchased at Bolas de Tons, and a 9 mm needle. It took two days to complete (seams and all) and fits her perfectly.
So, if you need a super-quick baby project, check it out!
Levou-me 2 dias a terminar (costuras e tudo) e serve-lhe na perfeição.
Portanto, se precisar de um projecto para bebé super-rápido, dê uma vista de olhos!

OMG, It's Almost Christmas Fingerless Mitts - Free Crochet Pattern/Modelo Grátis de Crochet

Every year is the same. In August, I start going on and on about how I need to be knitting/crocheting for Christmas and then December comes and I do everything in a matter of days, so I need super-quick patterns. Discipline is not my forte. Yesterday, I decided to make these fingerless mitts and I think that the end result is something worth sharing. For that reason, here's the pattern.

2.5 k - A Quick Granny Stripes Crochet Lapghan

After having spent an entire week trying to finish what apparently was a never-ending dress for Litte A. in *navy blue* (the horror!), I needed some instant "craftification". And nothing says fast like a Q/15mm hook and 4 strands of yarn held together, right?

The yarns had all been in my stash for quite some time, staring at me, softly whispering "Please, make something out of me" and you know you should always listen to what your yarn has to say.... Particularly the Sale Luxury Premium one, of which I ordered 16 skeins back in February only to find out that it did not live up to my expectations. "Make a lapghan out of me", it said, and the Anarchist quickly complied, using 12 skeins of the sheep-smelling fussy mess. To the mix, I added 3 skeins of Baby Multicolor and 2 skeins of Diva, all from Ice Yarns. So my stash is 2370 meters lighter! That's almost 2.5 kilometers (2700 yards, give or take)! That's a whole lotta yarn! Not bad, for such a simp…

Sock Yarn Baby Blanket - Free Knitting Pattern

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate/referral links, which only means that if you click the link and buy something, I'll get a small commission. And trust me: by small, I mean small as in so-small-that-it-cannot-even-support-my-yarn-addiction.
Most baby blankets' patterns give me the creeps. They're heavy, frumpy, impractical and even worse is when they have a right side and a wrong side (who has time for that when you're trying to wrap up a baby in the cold?). More, baby H., my much-anticipated godson, will be born right in the middle of summer and temperatures here get quite high. So, with all this in mind, I decided I wanted something extraordinarily light, colourful and easy. And this was born:
It only weighs 150 gr, it's light, airy but still able to keep those cold summer evenings and nights at bay! And the pattern (if we can even call it a pattern) couldn't be any simpler: you knit, knit, knit and let the yarn speak for itself. I think the most imp…
